Can you lose a .com domain if outside us and abusing laws?

			Interesting question..

Think about it.. If you register a .com domain which is based in US, and if you can't attack a foriegn source to close down illegal operation, Could you attack the .com registry to fight to get the domain shitcanned? I am hearing people looking into this route of action... kind of like attacking a host for illegal content to shut em down with pressure, shut down the domain, since the owners are based in USA, can the same be done for domains where is blatent obvousl of the crimes? It's one thing losing a host, imagine losing your .com, that would hurt!

be hard to do otherwise. I think the biggest problem would be that the scammer is going to use domains that they don't care about and just get new ones all the time.

Yeah, but much harder to brand dr9sslkklfrvfbvhgf.com than something like say, redtube.com. Eliminate bookmarkers and the whole nine having to change domains |

American courts can't force a foreign entity to turn over assets that arent in america. but they can force a foreign company to turn over american assets that may include domains. Its pretty simple really. Sue them in american court, win a default judgement when they dont show, then just collect the domain from the registry as an asset. This is assuming they are using an american registry.
