HBO's True Blood Sucks! (No Pun)
HBO has really gone into the toilet. I thought they would have learned something with "John From Cincinnati", but I guess not. This might actually be worse. "True Blood" is some of the worst writing I've ever seen in my life. It reads like a Saturday Morning cartoon without the heart or depth. What a piece of shit.
Whatever happened to the station that created "The Sopranos", "Oz", "The Wire" and "Deadwood". It's hard to believe this is the same writer that wrote "American Beauty" and created "Six Feet Under". Something tells me he found some little twink he's snorting lines with and trying to help break into the business. Did HBO's CEO start hitting the crack pipe, or did they just swap him out with Showtime's. It seems like Showtime has all the good shit now and Hollywood is trying to run HBO out of town. Anyway, I can't wait to see the next anticipated HBO original entitled "Watching Paint Dry And Grass Grow" |

Well look at it from their perspective.. They produced shows like Deadwood, Rome and Carnival that were very in depth and awesome story lines.. However because of this the shows failed simply because they couldn't bring in people who hadn't started watching from the start.
As far as John From Cincinnati, I actually liked that show even though it was a bit off beat. It was another one IMO that had a good story line but you really had to pay attention to follow it. However again if you hadn't watched from the start or didn't pay attention, you would be totally lost in the story line. True Blood I'm still up in the air about it. It isn't as good as I had hopped it would be, but who knows maybe it will get better.

Switch to Showtime. Dexter starts soon. The novels are even better than the cable series. It would be a public service to get HBO off the air before they do some serious damage to someone's mental health |

the first 2 or 3 parts of any series tend to suck because they are trying to draw a story line. I dont think its that bad and it should get better as the story line grows.
