    Will Biden step down as VP

    Seems like a lot of rumors are swirling he will be stepping down and Clinton will replace him. What do you all think will happen if these rumors turn out to be true?


    This is the most recent unconfirmed report/rumor I have received about Biden stepping down from the ticket, and the first I've circulated. It's crystal clear that Biden is a liability to the Democratic ticket, and Hillary would bring scorned radical feminists back into the Democratic fold. (I'd wager that Hillary & Co. would not vote for an Obama/Biden ticket, allowing McCain to win so Hillary can run on her own in 2012.)

    The question would then be, if Hillary becomes the Democratic VP nominee, and Obama/Clinton win, does Obama suspect her plan to run against him in the 2012 Democratic primary?

    Let me share some info with you that I have gotten from excellent sources within the DNC: On or about October 5th, Biden will excuse himself from the ticket, citing health problems, and he will be replaced by Hillary. This is timed to occur after the VP debate on 10/2.

    There have been talks all weekend about how to proceed with this info. Generally, the feeling is that we should all go ahead and get it out there to as many blog sites and personal email lists as is possible. I have already seen a few short blurbs about this - the "health problem" cited in those articles was an aneurysm. Probably many of you have heard the same rumblings.

    However, at this point, with this inside info from the DNC, it looks like this Obama strategy will be a go.

              It would make Obama look very desperate. I would think he would do it before the VP debate. If Biden goes to the debate and doesn't do very good then he steps down it will look really bad for the ticket. It might work to bring some of the scorned Hilary supporters back, but I think it would drive away some of the independents. The only way I could see him doing this is if by then he is a long ways down in the polls and as of today he is back on top in most of the polls so I would be shocked if he did this.

                                          Yeah, I was reading about that rumor on a website this morning...Biden is much more qualified than Palin, yet he is getting nothing in the press. Maybe something will play out after their October 2nd debate, which I would think Biden should crush her in.

                                                  I really don't see what is wrong with Biden. The guys seems to be a real person rather than a washington elite whom has used his position for personal gain like 99% of the rest of the govt.

But if this is in the cards the ONLY way to sell it would be health related that his doctors for some reason advised him to step down. Long shot for sure, but this has been one crazy election cycle so who knows!

                                                                      Personally I am scared of the idea of Obama dropping Biden for Hillary. I think it would seal the election for the Democrats. Hillary shores up all of Obama's weaknesses. She appeals to working class white men, middle class women and hispanics. I don't see how McCain could win if Obama put Hillary on the ticket.

It does not even sound like he wants to be the VP. If he did he would not be stating things like that in public. He has done it several times recently.

                                                                                                                                                                      This is old news, almost ten days ago and I have done a lot of research on this rumor a few days ago I honestly, don't think he is going anywhere and the comment was simply a kind gesture to Clinton. Do you think the DNC would let this rumor slip out? It is a Rovian rumor.

This was only one example. They are not hard to find. No I do not think they would allow it to slip out, but you can not always control that. There are always people willing to spill information for cash or other options. You have no idea is it is a rumor. Biden himself makes it sound possible.

It may or may not happen. If it doesn't then it was a rumor, if it does then the information was correct. I just do not think Biden sounds like he wants to be Obama's VP. He says it himself that he thinks he was not the best pick. Perhaps he thinks he made a mistake and wants to step down. I never said Obama wanted him to step down.

Now that the newness has faded from Palin and she is exposed as being inexperienced, the polls have gone back in favor of Obama. Biden seems to be hitting his stride this week.
