Hahaha, why does Palin posses a real threat? I heard the right media say that, what's the threat?

I heard the other day she got the conservative group moving. She is so far from a conservative, but yet they follow her (the vp pick, hahaha)... It's amazing, the right idiots think she sparked a movement. I mean come on, you were already going to vote for McCain but half of you played it off - so now you get going over the VP... great logic!

Maybe that is what the left is scared of, the millions of idiots that "might" actually change a vote because of a VP pick. Really, the mental level of a person that follows a VP, as who they should vote for, clearly has to be on par with a mentally retarded person.

Well Im almost swayed to changing my vote. Im just waiting to hear what Ben Stiller, and Joe Pesci have to say first though. Has anyone heard Nicole Ritchie's thoughts on the election yet?

HomerSimpson 09-10-2008 04:42 PM

Matt Damon smoked her out!

Despite the fact that Mccain could very well die in his first term leaving this extremely ignorant VP running the country, its not that people are voting based on the VP, its voting based on just how bad Mccains judgement is for picking her.

HorseShit 09-10-2008 05:26 PM

matt is pretty smart politics wise and is a true democrat growing up poor in south boston

evildick 09-10-2008 05:28 PM

People see these clips out of context and think he's just another pompous ass celebrity that thinks he can ram his political viewpoint down everyone's throat just because he is famous.

the truth is he was doing some sort of press junket thing about a charity he was promoting in Toronto and the Canadian interviewer started asking him political questions. He didn't bring it up himself.

I also agree 100% with what he said there. Palin is a joke and if McCain dies everyone is screwed. Anyone that votes for McCain because of Palin must be retarded.

This is what he was there for, nothing to do with politics:

Matt Damon got it right...... but lets face it, even if she does have the nuclear codes, she's a hockey mom, she'll probably fuck it up and get the codes wrong - "oh shucks" she'll say in a folky, momsy, small town way.

Mean time, Russia will be busy obliterating every fucking american city on the planet.

i certainly dont want that inexperienced soccer mom holding the keys to the nukes. i would have no problem with hillary being president. shes sitting next to mccain because she has a vagina. so sad. she has set women back decades in the fight for equal rights. change the sex of this broad and make it a man with less than 2 years of governorship and tack on the same experience level and that fucker is kicking rocks on the way to walmart to punch in. no fucking way in hell that joker would get the job with the same exact experience applied. no way. she has a vag, she got picked because of it. no way around it.

So let me get this straight he didn't bring the politics issue up himself the reporter did but he's still a pompous celebrity trying to force his viewpoint down everyone's throats?

What you just said was if the reporter never asked him he wouldn't have brought it up.

Is he not alloed to answer political questions because he's a celebrity? :1orglaugh

do you see how your logic is flawed?

Well considering his age 1 out of 3 chance of dying within 4 years is a realistic number. hell neither of my grandfathers made it to 73. Anyways 42 different men have been president, 8 have died in office. 1 resigned. So 21.4% of our Presidents didn't finish their terms. Reagan nearly died. Ford came within inches of being shot.

What??

I meant some people in this thread seemed to get the impression that he was your typical pompous ass celebrity trying to use his status to ram his political views down our throat, since they were basically saying, 'why should we care what he thinks, he's just a celebrity'.

I never said "I" thought that. I said he was just answering questions that were asked of him while he was being interviewed for a totally unrelated reason. (children's charity event)

Reread what I wrote again. You totally didn't understand what I meant.

Actually, some churches believe that the dinosaur bones are planted by the devil to trick us. So we are not yet sure if she believes that or if we rode dinosaurs around like horsies years ago.

Really want this woman in 2nd in command?

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/13/op...hp&oref=slogin

I don't understand why Obama isn't running ads like:

-asking "are you more safe today than you were 8 years ago?"
-asking "are you better off [financially] than you were 8 years ago?"
-"Do you want a President that supports a war that most Americans oppose which was launched on false justifications"
-"Where's Bin Laden and WMDs?"
-"Our opponent(s) believes that spending $48 million in tax dollars on a road to nowhere is better than spending it on a bridge to nowhere. We consider that wasteful spending."
-run an ad showing the footage of McCain using the term lipstick on a pig during the primaries
-show pics of Palin smiling over bloodied animals she just shot

They're a bit too soft when McCain is using tried and true methods - stretching the truth, misleading, etc.

badmunchkin 09-13-2008 04:11 PM

why does everyone give celebrities shit for speaking their mind? They're Americans too - they have every right to say whatever they want. What qualifications does Ann Coulter have to spout her bullshit? nothing - she's an empty mouthpiece but no one tells her she can't have her ass-backwards viewpoints.
