Genus : Agapornis  But the information I was actally looking for is "do both male and female parrots speek?". I had been told that only the males can speek, but I can't find anything on the internet that says this is true.

I have a grey as well. My wife has always called her a she, but I believe based on the size it is a male. and it hates me. But talkes like fucking crazy. As for females, they do talk, but not as well, and not as much.
