Sources: Brady done with severe knee injury

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slu...tforyear090708

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is expected to miss the rest of the 2008 season with what two sources described as a severe injury to his left knee, suffered in the first quarter of the Pats? 17-10 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs at Gillette Stadium Sunday.

While New England coach Bill Belichick said in his postgame press conference that he had no update on the status of Brady?s injury, a source close to the quarterback indicated it involved serious damage to the knee. That could include a torn anterior cruciate ligament and perhaps other ligament and cartilage damage.

?It?s bad,? a team source said. ?We?re going to have to play without him.?

Brady was hurt as he stepped up in the pocket to make a throw to wideout Randy Moss. Chiefs safety Bernard Pollard, who was on the ground, lunged forward and struck Brady?s leg, which buckled as he released the ball.

Brady was helped off the field and was later led down a staircase by team officials, presumably to undergo tests.

Fourth-year quarterback Matt Cassel, who had thrown just 39 passes in his career before Sunday, replaced Brady and completed 13 of 18 passes for 152 yards and a touchdown. Cassel, who backed up Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart at USC, hasn?t been a starting quarterback since high school. He won a competition with Matt Gutierrez during the preseason to retain the job as Brady?s primary backup.

As soon as it is, there shouldn't be any damage to the clearcoat.

You did read the whole article and see that there actually is no update on his status, right.

Damn you guys are so sorry ass you can't even get your teams to play better and beat someone.

Why don't you just go to the stadium and pick him off with a sniper rifle. Then maybe your sorry ass team's will have a chance of winning

Yah, Peter King on NBC just said the same thing about Brady being possibly done for the season.

Dude you do know that was a pissing match between Mangini and Belichick, right? You also know that the guy who said he had tapes ended up not having them, right?

Just checking.

Anyway, I guess as long as it balances out the league now everything will be okay. No reason to play better, just let everyone play down.

Yeah, I heard that too. It's really going to make the league look sorry if they win that division with Casell, huh?

Anyway, just find yourself another team besides Buffalo. Any team that can mangage to lose four superbowls in a row, IN A ROW, doesn't even deserve to have even one fan left. The entire city should be nuked just to save them from the shame

please don't compare a Buffalo Bills fan to a Patriots fan - until you won a Super Bowl the Patriots barely mattered to anybody in New England. Front runners suck. 4 Super Bowl losses, win or lose, Bills fans are still there

Well, I have to admit there's some truth to what you're saying, cause i was the little retarded kid routing for plunket in the old stadium with my ass sticking to the metal seats, but i think they might have been putting all their heart into the Red Sox

Well, he was never a threat. Buffalo was always down when the Pats were up and vice versa. The Jets and the Fish are the real pains in the asses. I'll be furious if the Jets win the division this year cause Brady can't come back and the Dolphins aren't going to make me feel any better. So that only leaves one other team actually

It will be hilarious though if they do actually win it with Cassel so everyone should start pissing their pants over that

Nonsense. Pure utter nonsense. But of course you're just grasping at straws because you don't live in Massachusetts let alone New England.

And Buffalo? Buffalo will be lucky to still have a franchise in 5 years.

don't let the facts get in your way

Boston is a Redsox town - or you're going to tell me the Celtics and Bruins have great attendance records over the past ten years?

Ya thats fine....I'll concede that fact.

But then just for fun let's examine the fact that the Patriots average ticket is almost 3 times the amount of the average Buffalo Bills ticket. The Bills have the cheapest ticket in the league...the Patriots most expensive. I can't find the numbers from 01 but I'm pretty sure it would be the same.

Foxboro Stadium was also smaller then Gillette Stadium. Don't bother using the Wikipedia seating numbers because judging by the numbers in your own link they are wrong.

Not to mention that theres not much else to do in Buffalo besides a Dave and Busters.
