                          i feel bad for all the military persons who were sent to fight based on a pack of lies...

                          i have deep respect for the military men and women, but i have no respect for the govt..

                          over 1/2 of congress, both democrats and republicans were found to be profiting from the war in some direct or indirect way...

                              I do not get it.
                              He spoke about a war for freedom. He also used the word tyranny which really throws it off as I do not recall any tyrants putting our freedoms at risk. He in all effects just put together a well crafted speech of standard spin and jargon.

                              A lot more than Obama supporters think, feel, and know that the war in Iraq was a mistake.

                              Now maybe he can make another video asking what the fuck happened to the supplies, the armor, and the general support of turning soldiers into peace keepers. I think that may really concern him. You know that shit most people would call planning and properly equipping everyone from day one.

                                  My grandfather is a WW2 vet so are many of his friends. At a get together last weekend they were all going off about how much they hate McCain. They did not have kind words for Obama either.

                                                                                                  It's a really good campaign video. Very well executed, great idea with the walking away at the end. Still just good campaigning/propaganda though because it's not as if anything he says is actually of any value, it's just about the emotive plea.
                                                                                                  As far as knowing what he's talking about, getting a leg blown off in a war doesn't automatically make you a foreign policy expert, as evidenced in his BS speech which is pretty much "soldiers are dead, therefore the war is right because otherwise they'd be dead for no reason".. riiiiight buddy.

                                                                                                  It'll work on a certain type of person, but it's mostly preaching to the choir ie the people that think we actually went there to give the Iraqi's "freedom" lol.

I guess I'm just weird but before I blindly take orders to go into another country and kill people that are defending their backyard I want to do a little research. 5 years later when it comes out that the entire war I was a part of is based on lies I don't continue to brag about how patriotic I am and think I am deserving of respect.

                                                                                                      I look at soldiers the same way I look at cops. You see a fucked up cop doing fucked up cop things and someone always comes in to say "Most cops are good, this is just some random idiot!". No most cops aren't good.                                                                                                                                                                           He should be honored for the sacrifices he made while serving in our military. He has earned the right to state his opinions and for your right to state yours as well.

                                                                                                                                                                          If I were in his position I would be mad as hell at the Bush administration and expressed a different opinion. But, he has chosen to express himself in this way.

                                                                                                                                                                          I don't know how those in charge of the war can live with themselves knowing that they lied about the reasons for the war and did not properly equip and prepare those they were commanding nor did they concern themselves with their care and well-being after their service was completed.

                                                                                                                                                                          Then they denigrate the character and ridicule the patriotism of anyone who questions their war and how it was managed? They are the unpatriotic ones who have done disservice to the country. They should be ashamed of themselves and their behavior.

Abc, Nbc, cbs, and pbs Fox news started what year again? Pretty sure it was sometime around when I graduated in 1991.
