how to get rid of the little pest that comes with Chrome - GoogleUpdate(r).exe
if you hit Ctrl+Alt+Del it is very likely that you'll see that fucker running in the background and even if you kill it and locate the file and delete it, that fucker reapears over and over again
Google wants to keep you updated and that's it, you have no say as to what they'll run on your PC! this is what you do: Serch for "googleupdate*" on your HD and delete all the folders and files you find, if you can't delete the exe file kiil it first if its running (Ctrl+Alt+Del tehn ->Processes -> end process) then delete it Start the scheduler: Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Scgheduled Task and remove the GoogleUpdater from there too If that doesn't help then you might want to check your registy and remove an entry from there but you better Google that.. Good luck |
