Good point and it would probably be a smart move for McCain. I wonder how much we'll see of her. Her favorable rating is very good among Repubs, Dems, and unaffiliated groups right now.

With regard to military, security, and safety.

Why is America's southern border wide open? Fighting those terrorists across the Atlantic in Iraq (which was already an anti-Muslim stronghold under Saddam) makes more sense than defense on America's very own territory.

oprah and palin are both dumb cunts

Edit: Not anti-Muslim, anti-terrorist/insurgent stronghold

Nope. It was immediately after, and NBC made use of the halftime show to show the festivities at the the GOP convention. It was pretty much force fed, since it couldn't be avoided if you kept the TV on during halftime, and strayed away after to crack open a beer with the boys. :1orglaugh

This is a major problem I have with Obama. I don't think someone with no military experience truly understands, and I really have a problem putting someone like that as the Commander-in-Chief of our military.

But if John Edwards were the Democratic nominee then you would vote for him?

I'm fairly certain that's what you said before....and I do know for sure you voted for him in the primary.

Also, if your main issue is someone wanting to avoid war, why not support the guy who was against the war from day 1 as opposed to the guy who was for it, said it would be easy and not take very long?

But McCain is someone who voted for the war, who supported the occupation of Iraq. While I understand what you're saying, McCain and his military experience will go down as supporting one of the greatest blunders in our nation's history.

That "show" is a business you know.

And how do you give a "fair" interview without ripping into Palin about promoting
abstinence as the only sex education and it failed on her own daughter.

Not really that good of an idea for Oprah, she either has to ignore all the negative
buzz during the interview and look like a phony or bring the issues up and look like
an attacker.

You also probably should remember that Ophra's show is in Chicago!
She knew about Obama for a long time. He's an illinois senator.
Good local promo for Oprah to have Obama on but I don't think she
is going to sweat all those billions of Alaska viewers. :1orglaugh

Chicago city population is about five times larger than the entire state of Alaska.

BTW : I'm sick of Ophrah too. But I don't make stuff up to make my point.

I think you missed the point ...

Oprah said she didn't want to use her show to push a political agenda, though she had Obama on and HAS been using her show and her status to push an agenda. Hypocrit much ?

Perhaps, but it's her show, her rules. That's all that matters.

You guys are tools. Do you think Obama even decides? lol. Honestly have a look at Obama's quotes only a year or so ago addressing Palestinian and Arab-American's regarding Jerusalem, peace, etc and than compare it to the line he promotes today. A President has some ability to push their agenda, but more or less that ability only remains, or comes to fruition, if the push the agenda that the powers that be (AIPAC and Zionists on this issue) decide on the issues they care about. Believe me Iran is a non-issue, because it is something the Zionist lobbies, etc aren't willing to budge on, and one way or another an attack on Iran will be sanctioned WHOEVER is President. You think the Zionists in the media and the lobbies hadn't sized up Obama long ago? And decided not to character assassinate him beyond return? Hell if he was heading towards being President and they knew he wouldn't attack or sanction an attack on Iran it is without a doubt some 'redneck' (but of course) would vote from the rooftops against him.

All you idiots need to remember that Obama and McCain are running against each other, NOT Palin. That fact seems to be lost in every discussion.

However, being a Conservative does not mean you aren't a Liberal. They are two totally different things that the right tries to merge into one due to personal stupidity.

I'm very Conservative when it comes to the Gov. I actually don't see how anyone could be anything but Conservative, it's how you run a business, it makes total logic.

Being Liberal, is a personal thing, not a Gov view it's a state level thing. I'm personally Liberal and think people should be allowed more Liberal rights.

Savage ranks #1 on personal stupidly calling Liberalism a mental disorder. Just the title alone yells volumes at how disillusioned the right can really be on such a basic subject. To these people, if you don't agree on abortion (ie: all views), you are left ie: liberal. Even if all other views are right, that's the real mental disorder going on.

Don't let the words fool you. It's okay to be a Conservative Liberal. Wanting a small gov, with less control, more power to the state, to help individual rights. I feel that is the basic idea of our Country.

This is my perspective exactly. But the association of the label "conservative" is typically "Right-Wing Christian Psycho"... and I am most certainly anti-religion, and anti-brainwashing.

So I prefer the liberal label alone. :)

Not everyone is a mouthpiece for the republican party. You already have that fat fuck Rush, the fag in hiding Hannity, and that sex crazed fool Bill O.

Don't watch Oprah if you don't like it.

Shouldn't you be working when she is on anyway.:1orglaugh

The GOP has been hi-jacked by the Jesus freaks. Those that actually believe in true republicanism of less government etc should join the Libertarian party.

As long as the GOP can convince inbred rednecks that the Dems want to take away their guns, force them to have abortina dn into agay marriage and turn them into atheists then they will vote for teh GOP even if it means allowing the GOP to enocurage companies to move jobs to China and allow what few jobs are left to find to either hire you for minimum wage or turn a blind eye to companies hiring illegals for $3 an hour.

Of course white trash is poor for a reason. Perhaps they should think about that.

Really? Because I'm Canadian? Baddog, you should know better. This election has huge repercussion in Canada and in the rest of the world. It's true I won't be voting, but we follow the campaign every day on the news here too. Not more, not less than in the USA ( even in the French news!!). This is a public forum and I can express my opinion, That's how it is.

If it's because you meant that I'm also biaised (following your quote), maybe I share the Democrats values (as most of the Eastern half in Canada:Ontario, Quebec, the Maritimes)more but I meant that Rob is being over-enthusiastic about the Republicans lately. It was not an anti-Republican reply. I mean as much as don't like Oprah all that much, saying she's done because she won't have Palin on her show before the election is just over-enthusiastic don't you think?

When this board first started all we talked about were Boneprone's crabs and Amp's water jug, so talking about Oprah is an improvement.

Whatever dude. :1orglaugh
