    I got a new camera....

Now I'm not one of you professional photographers, but I just picked up an Olympus Stylus 1030 SW. So far I think it kicks ass. It's waterproof to 33ft too.

        Congrats on the new cam.

Although, I'd hesitate to describe a new camera as "kicks ass."

Take 300,000 pics with it, drop it a few times...put a few dents and nicks in the body - then see if "kicks ass" still applies.

Hold your camera above your head and drop it, then stomp on it...if it still works, it's as good as advertised - if not, be sure to read the warranty first.

I got the same camera for Christmas. It will be great for whale watching. We know someone that has the camera and they use it underwater in their pool a lot with no problems at all. Now I know that isn't 33 ft, but I never go down 33 ft anyways
