    Hurricane Pics & Perspective

    This was from our trip to Cabo last year when we got hit by a baby hurricane, it was barely a category 1 or tropical depression and about 1-2 hrs before the brunt of the storm.

          I still remember a hurricane that hit Halifax, N.S. back in the early 70s (during high tide cycle).

          It snapped an under-construction oil rig loose in Halifax harbour and sent it towards one of the bridges that crosses over to Dartmouth.

          It also reversed the flow of the river in Bedford Basin and did major flooding of all areas upstream. Tossed yachts around in the marina like they were little toys.

                      The little ones are quite fun, and that one had some good surfing.

                              I was in Myrtle Beach about 2-3 years ago when that one (forget it's name) made landfall. Was a TS/Cat1, wind speeds were 72-74ish mph on landfall. It was pretty cool, we went to the beach to hang out and watched the waves.
