250gb is a lot of bandwidth, no one is going to be affected except the people who steal all of your movies and share them illegally.
so its GOOD for youComment

Yes this as been posted like 10 times already lol... Old news... People are abusing Bandwidth so im for it. 250 gigs is sufficient enough man, it will improve network speed also for everyone... so take a pill & relax
and get used to the new internet, all other ISP's will follow;)

Comcast has been cutting off customers taking up a lot of bandwidth already. It looks like they are now announcing it publicly.
Sounds like a bad move to me. If they are known for limited access and how easily you can get fucked people may start switching to dsl or some other service. There's lots of ways you could get fucked by limited bandwidth. Someone leaching wifi(easily cracked), family and friends downloading, streaming large vids and not checking bandwidth used, etc etc.
Comcast made some statement some time ago that only 5% of their customers use up 50% of the network resources. So they are trying to stop them or get rid of them it looks like. But what happens when the average joe goes over once or twice? He's going to be pissed and look elsewhere for service. People don't want to monitor their bandwidth.
Seems kind of risky for them too. When broadband came out there was sort of a war between dsl and cable internet access. Most people picked cable over dsl, dsl had all sorts of issues back then but not these days...Comment

from the thread yesterday.
They even stated this will effect less than 1% of their clients. You guys are really showing your lack of knowledge in this thread. 250Gb / month is 8.4Gb per day. No one does that kind of transfer. If you had Sirius running, at it's highest bit rate, every second of every day for 30 days - it would only be 40 Gb. To go through that much with torrents. It would be roughly 125 movies every single month. Or 375-625 TV Shows per month.
Most people don't even have enough drive space to last more than a month or two at that rate. Seriously, get your heads out of your asses. The sky is not falling.
