say ssome prayers for MIKE STOKES

everyone who KNOWS MIKE STOKES...

he is on life support...this is what the facts of what happened

last monday he was found at 5 pm est at his home

mike was sick and threw up...

problem was he swallowed it..

it blocked his breathing

he was able to breath enough to stay alive but he has brain damage. Its bilateral which means it covers more than sense...with mike result so far damage to 3 senses..he also has liver, kidney, heart, gastro ans issues on every organ..

the good news is everything is improving organ wise rather than brain and the swelling in his brain is going down

Happened betwwen midnight sunday night and he was found 5 pm...over that 17 hours

Now organ wise Mike is not out of woods. but signs look good.

Best case situation with brain damage is he loses senses of
1. short and long term memory'
2. cant speak
3. cant walk

Now its all in waiting...It could be up to 2 months till the doctors will know to what extent the brain dage effects mike.

HERE IS THE POSTIVE NEWS

mike moves in bed..now its not his brain commanding his movements BUT he listens to DR's so in that case the brain has to be working...

most importantly

stokes is the strongest MF i ever met...his dad is 6.3 and 285 and is prob 25 punds over weight max...he has bigger guns then mrt.

it possible with theraphy to re learn all the stuff and yes the truth is percentages are very low

but if anyone could do it...its MIKE STOKES...

ITS SO SAD

please everyone shoot up a prayer even if you dont believe.

btw not looking for any cash lol....but if anyone wants to send a card he is at Temple University Hospital in phila...room 373...

i met mike in 1998....i was going throught worst period of my life...he was there for all of it...money down 1st one to offer...when times were bad he took me and my 2 kids out several times...

if you needed something he would take his shirt off the back for even a person he never met...

all women LOVED him yet he ws different than a lot of us and not whore. I could on and on...

IM AT SUCH A LOSS and just been to hospital past 4 days...its just so sad...

i dont know if its the right or wrong thing to post his condition...

BUT...

Stokes was in the industry and dealt with so many people...people cant stand me but eveyone loves him...

If you had the priveledge of ever dealing with him you know what im speaking of

no packages please either...but his folks getting cards from tons of people would make them happpier

please pray...and if you knew mike please send a card...the guys has a ton of love

and i know its bs but i cnat help it--the more positive vibes out there at least help his familt

I am devastated I love him like a brother...what sad news...

I saw Howard at the adtech show and he had bad news to report about mike. Seems there has been very little progress after 4 months of waiting.

For those of you who know him I know you couldn't help but love him. He was the funniest , most lovable friend you could every meet.

I will miss you my brother.

I remember Mike back during EZGreen when I was making my first web pages and hangin out on the newbie board. He was very sweet and gave me lots of good advice. I do believe in prayer and the power of positive, healing thought.

What a tragedy...this guy was like the picture of health!

Funny story:

One time i called his office and he was in a huge meeting he saw it was me and he made the horrific mistake of answering on speaker phone =)) I immediately went in to the stokey pokey song that i made up for him =)) his boss said is this what you do all say stokes!

I will always remember him fondly

I am so saddened by this words cannot express.

Unreal..... Mike was a REALLY damn good dude.

Formulated my first escape plan with him.... 6yrs ago.

We were going to move to the mountains near Cancun and train jaguars to pack opium bongs... we figured there was a market for that.

Fancy cars are pretty pimp....but a bong packin' jaguar. Shiet pure gold.

Gosh...Its been awhile since I thought about Stokes until I saw Mike at ad tech.

I have kind of said my good bye's. I just can't see him like he is. He has no brain. Once I saw him open his eyes that was it. You could hold a flashlight to his eyes and no reaction.. There is no hope. But his folks put a feed tube him. Even the rehab is kicking him out. He has to go to nursing home or live with folks.

Selfishly I wish he would pass. It would be better for everyone. His Mom nor step dad wanted to put in feeding tube. his father had lost 3 relatives in past year and wouldnt do it. He realizes now it was a mistake. Only way to put him under is LEGAL now. And they fixed all damage to his body other than brain so in actuality he is very good pyshical condition. Its like a living hell. its why they living wills but Mike didnt have 1.

I just got off phone with Mikes family. They are moving ahead legally to put Mike down.

They said Mike feels pain and he shows it at times. Him mom, dad and stepdad still goes from am to pm every day. Its torture for them. Myself and his freinds have already said good bye. I truly hope the courts make it easy for them..For everyones well bring Mike would be happier 6 feet under. So sad to say but I know him and he would kill himself if he could
