Most paid/tgp traffic brokers have a pause/resume link. (If not all)
And most of you have a set # of hits per hour with brokers as well.
People that sell traffic to many brokers have been accused of selling "bot traffic".
Well here is a simple fix that may work for awhile.
Have a simple script log in to your traffic broker & hit pause at say 1:58pm....then click resume at around 2:23. The next day have it pause around 1:45 & start at 2:35 & so on.
Why?
Most bots like their owners are simple/stupid. They are set to go off on the hour more than likely. They obviously know the best time to send their fake traffic is during that RUSH when the script is catching up with your hourly order. By breaking up the times at which you receive your traffic, you will see a much better ROI in the end : )
Tip #2
Study the times of day most of your sales come in typically & make sure that you pause your campaigns during the slow parts of day. This also helps to fuel trades that have the same "traffic surges" during hot parts of the day. You can either script this or ask your traffic broker to set up "campaign times" for you.
