I can explaine the phenomena.

Basically most people business here is varied and certain topics interest them for actual business however bullshit threads and drama based threads yield more interest due to sheer volume of general or morbid curiousity that most everyone experiences from time to time.

For example.

An Affiliates program launches site, but not everyone on gfy or even 50% of GFY are actual affiliates. Some are employee's of programs, some are designers, some are billing companies or other service related companies and even publications. What I am getting at is there is a diversity of interest in business and it is similer to Niche interest for that specific related business when business based threads are perused.

I have noticed the Off-Topic area of 75% of forums have more posts/threads than any on-topic part of a forum..

and a lot of forums would die without having off-topic.

Also people LOVE drama threads it doesn't matter if you are on a BMW Enthusiast forum or a Adult Webmaster Business Forum..

Those threads often go many more pages compared to most on-topic threads..

It is not something special to GFY.. But GFY is special because of the dynamic it has..

Hell look at Youtube comments.. People go for pages!! People get off on it..
