Mark my words..Twitter, fad or not, is about to explode in the UK. Every day this week Twitter has been featured on one BBC program or another. I know I am following four or five BBC presenters on my non-biz twitter account and a couple of their radio programs are obsessed with it and making it the way people interact with the show. Somebody at the BBC has decided to push it. I know from following Richard Bacon (British people will know the name) that The One Show (very middle of the road evening magazine show on BBC1) is doing a feature on Twitter soon. The British twitter boom is on the way. The British people that grew up texting are now becoming adults and it is just texting on a mass scale.

I hope Twitter doesn't start getting all super-porn-spammy. I have no problem with people using it to promote their business, but I got a couple of follow notices where the only posts were links to their blog.

Twitter sends traffic... It's not SU or Digg, a single bump isn't going to rock your world. But like both, a retweet in twitter is re-published (ie revoted) over and over. And it does send traffic.

I have seen others post stats, mainstream blogs do it all the time and many times twitter is in the top 5 referrals, often above Google. And some of these solo models on Twitter have some serious followers.

if you have 10 people following u, how on earth could u get a lot of traffic
