however, where mccain was born, was actually *NOT* considered US soil.

"the Panama Canal Zone was not considered to be part of the United States"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural-born_citizen

this wiki specifically goes into Mccain.

Quote:

federal law states that "Any person born in the Canal Zone on or after February 26, 1904, and whether before or after the effective date of this chapter, whose father or mother or both at the time of the birth of such person was or is a citizen of the United States, is declared to be a citizen of the United States".[6] The law that conferred this status took effect on August 4, 1937, one year after John McCain was born — albeit with retrospective effect, resulting in McCain being declared a U.S. citizen.
very much up for legal debate.

Quote:

However, the question as to whether or not he is a citizen from birth cannot be answered by this law because (1) it took effect after his birth and (2) it does not state that the person's citizenship was acquired at birth, only that they are a citizen by means of the law's establishment (and, hence, at the time the law takes effect). Indeed, the law in 1936 stated that all persons born to US citizens outside the "limits and jurisdictions of the United States" but the problem is that the Panama Canal Zone was within the limits and jurisdictions of the United States. Thus, the status of Mr. McCain remains unsettled.

You Children if they were born in Germany CAN NOT run for president.

Didn't Hillary say she had a bomb to drop in the middle of the campaign?

What could be better for her than wishing him luck, giving him her delegates, talking about what a great guy he is and how great he'll be for the country and then .... "for whatever reason" he's disqualified?

just sayin

It is my understanding that a child born of an American citizen who is serving in the military and is serving abroad and the child is born in whatever country the military person is serving is born an American citizen...so if I am correct the above woult not apply to McCain.

FactCheck.org held, photographed, and confirmed the authenticity of Obama's Hawaiian birth certificate.

It doesn't take much to debunk this stuff....only retards tend to find it "interesting" actually.

The frivolous "lawsuit" (even though many have contacted the PA court system but can't confirm an actual docket) largely hangs on the fact that Barack Obama's birth certificate is fake. Because if it's genuine then there is no argument....

We beg to differ. FactCheck.org staffers have now seen, touched, examined and photographed the original birth certificate. We conclude that it meets all of the requirements from the State Department for proving U.S. citizenship. Claims that the document lacks a raised seal or a signature are false. We have posted high-resolution photographs of the document as "supporting documents" to this article. Our conclusion: Obama was born in the U.S.A. just as he has always said.

If you're too retarded to read then all of the pictures of the actual document are within this link.

You try so hard to be smart, but you do it in such a pretentious know-it-all way that you end up looking really stupid most of the time when you post. Wikipedia is a great reference and you can often find the sources of their data. For example, they reference an article from the New York Times about the Panama Canal Zone.

In addition, they reference the actual US law code from that year at the Justia site.

It is a good resource because it site references. If you are wrote a thesis or dissertation for any advance or graduate college course then you would be familiar on how wikipedia is cited. Wikipedia tries its best to cite its reference and if it doesn't then it usually states "This article needs additional citations for verification". I usually like citing certain thing on wikipedia then cross references that subject with another site. Although, not perfect it is almost the same as reading two books on the same subject and crossing referencing it with another.

Wikipedia is also used by judges in courts.

here is a very long list of court cases that cite wikipedia...

In the most detailed examination yet of Senator John McCain’s eligibility to be president, a law professor at the University of Arizona has concluded that neither Mr. McCain’s birth in 1936 in the Panama Canal Zone nor the fact that his parents were American citizens is enough to satisfy the constitutional requirement that the president must be a “natural-born citizen.”

The analysis, by Prof. Gabriel J. Chin, focused on a 1937 law that has been largely overlooked in the debate over Mr. McCain’s eligibility to be president. The law conferred citizenship on children of American parents born in the Canal Zone after 1904, and it made John McCain a citizen just before his first birthday. But the law came too late, Professor Chin argued, to make Mr. McCain a natural-born citizen.

All of you idiots who think that this has any merit whatsoever are in need of serious help.

Do you really think that the Democratic National Committee hasn't looked into this? What about the Secretaries of State for all 50 states where Obama's name has been on the ballot as a candidate in a Presidential primary? Hillary Clinton's opposition research team? Hell, they found an essay he wrote in kindergarten, do you really think they would have missed this?

Here's something you need to start getting used to, you should say it out loud a few times a day.

PRESIDENT OBAMA.
