Bah - Bronx still has some real nice areas. Did some work there and it was a pleasent neighborhood, loaded with chubby Italians in jogging suits ;) Wicked deli there. And Harlem isn't jack shit compared to the Lower teens in Newark, or Bed Sty in Brooklyn. Those places make South Bronx and Harlem look like Disney Land.

Hehe... you will laugh... I said I'd treat them at the strip club... as soon as I said "strip club" those were like magic words... I think they had to decide if they wanted to trust me -- they just told me to wait for them at the other end of the block -- I actually waited for those punks because I was serious about taking them out but they didn't show up...

Anyway I think I did the right thing to not fight... I wasn't hurt at all, lost like $60 and my cell phone... these guys keep calling me I think too hehe because I got the phone # switched back into my new phone but I they block the caller ID...

Part of the problem was that I hesitated because I wasn't sure if somebody was playing a prank on me when they came from behind... and because I was wearing a heavy backpack and wearing a hood I couldn't really see who had grabbed me. Now when I walk down the street I'm thinking about how I would take down everyone I pass -- I'm sizing up everyone as the enemy... so that I can make faster decisions.

Anyway good advice posted on here... I'm taking taxis home at night now and I'm looking for another apartment. Really there's no reason for me to be in this neighborhood -- I'm the only young white guy in this area and I get wierd looks all the time... i'm not out to prove anything. Yes there are some really friendly people in my "hood" but there seems to be no point. I'm mostly thinking in terms of risk management hehe...

I agree! I lived in NYC for about 6 months and I use to walk home from work at 2 am, and not even get bothered. I live on LOng Isalnd now and I am more scared to walk someplace at 2 am , here than I am in the city.-LOL

My friends from college are starving artist types that can't afford much -- I originally came to NY to hang with these guys because Florida was getting boring... they get into trouble in Brooklyn too but they can't afford more... They are giving me shit for moving out -- but when it comes down to it they don't feel safe in BedStuy either -- I don't want to get into it because it's pretty depressing... As for working for LikeWhoa -- that's really none of your biz but it comes down to a lot of factors... First it's a great company to work for... Besides being a leader in hosting, LikeWhoa has its arms into many avenues of the adult industry and I think my interests in traffic and design fit well with LikeWhoa. I'm always looking to the future and so is LikeWhoa... and such a bright future it is :) Also being self-employed for 4 years can get boring and isolating... the LikeWhoa office is full of action -- I'm working around/with very intelligent people... I'm going to have my hands on some breakthrough technology like Adult Centro -- large-scale, far-reaching ideas/projects that I wouldn't normally have the resources to execute on my own... LikeWhoa is going to have the hottest booth at Internext too hehe... I could go on and on but anyway that's enough of my personal life.

But normally when people go from being self employed, to working for someone else in this biz, this is a big red flag in our business the person had fallen on hard times. Add this fact, to the fact you stole pizza, and are living in brooklyn, I think you should shut your mouth for a while and go make some coin.

NYC can be tough.. San francisco can be tough too! like this time we were chillin at Roaring 20's and it was closing time.. I was inside talking to the DJ, meanwhile outside Leroy the pimp had a gun pointed at my partner who was with his girlfriend.. he was shaking them down cuz he was the main pimp of north beach. I walked outside and saw what was happening and I pimp smacked Leroy on the back of the head and took his gun away.. GTF outta Bed Stuy Fly. Not a good first place to move. For those of you who don't know, Fly is living steps away from the Marcy Projects which is where Jay Z grew up and it's also the area Big grew up in as well. It's not all terrible but definitely not the best area for white guys.

If you come down fulton just a half a mile you can live in Fort Green for a good price. A one bedroom will run ya $1,200. Virtually no crime around those parts all the way to Brooklyn Heights promenade off the east river. Or catch one of the downtown Manhattan rebates that make a decent 1 bedroom cost around $1,700 instead of the usual $2,400.

You seem like a nice guy so please get out of there.

Or you could always move to Long Island- Nassau County isnt that far from city ( well part of it).
