This has been brought up 1000 times and my answer is always the same, as soon as someone wants to convert my 100s of contacts to another more modern format then I'm game for changing it. I, like many others in this biz, just don't have the 100s of hours it would take to convert all my contacts.Looking for Opportunity!

ICQ is the standard in our industry. Some of us remember a time before ICQ and how difficult it was to chat with each other. I remember using something called talk.exe, which included looking up your IP address and emailing to the other person so you can hook up with each other.
These days I've noticed more people using Skype, and even a few people using Gmail's chat feature.Herschel Savage

Archaic for sure - I actually prefer AIM over ICQ but not as many people use it. Skype comes in quite handy - but my 100's of contacts are on ICQ ... so ICQ it remains!Comment

I gotta tell you I tried to find everyone I had on ICQ on Skype and migrate over to Skype over the years. Skype has great VoIP, awesome video conferencing, and fantastic ENCRYPTED IM'ing. It is very solid and cutting edge.Comment

Doing the same thing, good part is they don't upgrade it anymore so I don't get any of that annoying shit that's most likely to attract more teenagers.
