A real Ghost Town

I did a day trip on Saturday, 200 miles to a little known place called Bodie california, it's the most complete ghost town in the us aparently. There was a gold mine there and they mined over 100 million dollars of gold from that location before the gold mined out, it was a really cool trip and I like to take drives like that. It was at 8000 ft, ran out of breath and my legs hurt from all the hiking
http://pancakesandporn.com/bodie for the pictures I took

I was thinking if we could get a good connection here, Rochard would have a new office?

think about that

Would be neat to walk around that place with a metal detector and see what could be found laying around.

My uncle's hobby is visiting ghost towns around the States. Every Christmas we get pictures from ones he visited that year.

Has to be privately owned now with security, right? Otherwise some assholes would have trashed the place. VERY COOL! Thanks

it's all ran by rangers now, they live there , even during the winter months when the roads are closed, to keep looters out, it's ran pretty well as far as I could see, cost $3 for an adult, $1 for kids to go in, probably a bit over 50 cars in the parking lot and a dozen motorcycles, so it keeps busy

3 bucks? Dang.. that's not bad. Nothing costs 3 bucks anymore. Take the whole family with a cooler full of picnic goods and you can make a cheaper day of that than a beach/baseball game/ amusement park.... hell.. cheaper than anything.
