    Man arrested for DUI had a tapped keg in the passenger seat

    CLAYTON — Nov. 30: An officer responded to the intersection of Southway Road and Crestway Drive on a welfare check call and observed a running vehicle in the roadway. The registration was expired and the odor of alcohol was detected on the subject. The subject admitted to drinking alcohol and a beer keg with a tap in it was in the passenger seat. The spigot was resting on the center console and was dripping. The subject submitted to field sobriety tests and was arrested for operating a vehicle intoxicated. He was also cited for expired registration and open container.

      I woulda turned off my car threw the keys on the floor and started chugging.. then argued that the alcohol in my system came from the drinking only after I had pulled over..

      Maybe then he could have just got public intoxication... Or at least could have argued in court with a really good attourney and gotten off..

      I've heard of people driving with a small bottle or a beer can, but a keg.. wow..

                  I did that in high school - ran the tap right into the backseat.

                  I also put Wild Turkey in the windshield wiper reservoir and rerouted the tube from the sprayer to underneath the dashboard - hit the switch and you'd get a couple of shots.

                                                              LOL. I seen them do this with rum and coke on Trailer Park Boys, but I figured you'd get some sort of poisoning if you did this in real life since windshield washer is usually full of methanol.

                                                              Some people actually put homemade wine in antifreeze jugs a few years ago around here and they ended up dying.

                                                                                          I know a guy in Ohio who went out drinking in the winter. It was freezing outside when he came out of the bar drunk so he started his car to turn the heat on, locked the doors and jumped in the back seat to sleep off his drunk.

                                                                                          The cops came and he got a DUI. Because the car was on they were able to give him the ticket, even though he was sound asleep in the back seat when they found him in the bar parking lot. Unreal.
