    What are the Laws re: Registering Domain Names U Don't use?

    What are the Laws re: Registering Domain Names and not "using" it?
    Is it totally legal to register a domain name like
    downloadmusicvideo.com and just have some bull shit feeder
    site that is just filler? Is this person making money or are they
    just waiting to be contacted through whois registration info for a sale?
    I would think that if they had interest in selling the domain that they would indicate
    that on the page...What say you ?

      People buy them for different reasons - some want to re-sell them, others look at them as investments and want to sell them later when like names are on the net. Others buy the domains to block the name from being a competitor to their sites.

      I don't think there is one reason.

      Some are just addicted to buying domain names
