Cable connection to the Internet - GoFuckYourself.com

I've got my new box up and running, but can't seem to get it connected to the Internet. Yes, it's plugged into my cable modem. I also went into Internet Options and set it to automatically detect connection and I set the connection script to: http://proxy:8080 , which its set up to on this computer and other computers I've had in the past.

What else might I be missing?

Did you pay Al Gore the user fee to use the Internet? Because he won't give you access to his Internet until you do.

Hey Sly-

First off who is your ISP? What you may be missing is the proxy address in I.E. Did you reboot to get an IP address? Do you even HAVE an IP address (was your PC able to get one from the proxy)

Secondlly I dont see any reason why you need all of that stuff checked in I.E.

Lastly are you on a LAN? If so try running the straight through cable from the modem directly to the PC and then see if you can get connectivity.
