What to do against ICQ SPAM? - GoFuckYourself.com

Everyday I must get about 50 requests from Russians trying to spam me their jibberish shit, chinese girls wanting to improve their english and dating bots.

I'm tired of having to clickthrough hundreds of popups a day just to open ICQ and im sure i've been inadvertidly blocking real people that want to talk to me cause their name seemed like some spam bot.

So what do you guys do to avoid ICQ spam?

In your icq, click the flower and go into the Security and Privacy Permissions. Then down to Communication Events. From here you can go through different events that your icq can get. You can block messages from people not on your contact list, and other message types you don't use.

ill have to check that out, since they made me upgrade i get WAYYY to many messages

I have not gotten icq spam in like a decade it seems.
Is your profile public?

Quite honestly, I don't know. I created my ICQ account almost 10 year ago and I have no clue as to where to find out if I have my profile public or not
