I've been here just about 5 years now. Do a GFY search I think there are a few threads filled with info about CR from those of us down here

It totally depends on what type of trip you are planning, and what your budget is. There's options for backpackers staying in hotels, marathon sex whore mongers, rich guys who want to golf every day at the four seasons, etc...

Make sure to come sometime after October, right now it's rainy season here. Some people will try and tell you that it's just as great here in the rainy season as it is during the summer season - yeah... ok...

I have searched for CR info on GFY before, you get a ton of CR bash posts and the few that do talk about CR, don't tell much.

Yeah, totally... the part of the bible where the whole world floods was obviously inspired by an October in Costa Rica. It was fucking ridiculous last year. They actually call May-November the "green" season which is just a euphemism for "fucking rainy as all hell", especially in September and October. It's raining insanely hard with the wind and the lightning as I write this.

Aside from that seasonal craziness, CR is a great place to check out.

Spent the month of June in Nosara. It does depend on the kind of trip you are looking for. Cheap Hostel, or nice digs with wifi and sat TV?

I was thinking about renting an apartment with internet access of course in a secure area in San Jose, I don't need anything fancy.

It's been nice all day over here on the east side of San Jose, but I do see the clouds forming
