I have a macbook pro, clean install of Leopard 10.5.4

I just finished installing all my applications and everything was working perfect. Now, when I try to send and recieve mail (using thunderbird) - connection to the mail server times out.

My pc's in the office are connecting to the same mail server without any issues.

Little snitch is not reporting anything suspicious and I do not see any bad processes that could be causing this problem.

I've searched google and I've not been able to find anything that helps.

Anybody else ever get this? Or better still, anybody know how to fix this?

I love my mac but this is soooo frustrating!

Heeeeeelllllpppppppp!

Thank you in advance.

Use thunderbird on my macbook pro and never have had a problem. Works and acts just the same as thunderbird in windows.

It's always worked perfectly for me too. Until very recently, reinstalling the OS fixed it (for a day) and now the problem has returned.

It's your ISP blocking the ports for incoming and outgoing mail, have your host change the ports.

Try another ISP or a VPN, or drop round my place later and we will fix it.
