I was 18 but I think in hindsight waiting until I was like 20 or 21 would have saved me some money and given me some valuable learning experience before moving out on my own. 18-21 is some crazy partying and bad choices usually. Seriously though, if you think waiting some months until 21 will help you buy your own place, then do it. Moving out at 21 is nothing to feel bad about at all.

I moved out at 21. To another country
|
around 18
|
22 to another city :)

I've never moved out of my parents place. My parents moved out of their place coz I bought the house we lived in from them. Made sense. My mum wanted to sell and move somewhere else, I liked living where I am so said fuck it I'll buy it. She cut me a better deal than she would have selling on an open market. She only had a small mortgage on the house so she made a big big profit which helped her get a new place outright.
Still living here today and won't be selling it anytime soon. Its already made me a great profit too in the 3 years I've owned it. If I sell up now I'll make a 40% profit on what I paid for it at least. |
I left to go to college at 19 but I dropped out and came back when I was 20.
Stayed a years or so then bought a place and moved out for good when I was 22. Going back to live with your parents after you've been living on your own is no good! |
17........
|
stay as long as you fucking can!
if your dad is cool don't leave - it's a cold mean world out there |
15 1/2... stayed in school, and was making more than both of my parents - combined - by the time I was 19. My grandfather moved out at about the same age, and he is both successful and respected in his community.
You're still fairly young, so another year doesn't sound too bad. But at some point, mother bird has to kick her babies out of the nest - that's part of being a good parent. |
19, rental.. Now im plaaning on buying an apartment.. :)

Moved out when I was 18. One of the best things I ever did

I left at 15, never looked back!

Went to college at 17 - never went back for longer than a week, spent there during christmas vacations.
Altho I like my parents, and the place I grew up, a farm, was cool enough. |

I was about 20 years old. Moved all the way out to California from the East Coast. Didn't know one single person either. Had my mind made up to do it.....and did it. Simple as that.

Personally, i'd let my kids have low rent (like 25% of my mortgage payment), eat for free, and everything else we do as a family for free of course - but as soon as I get that "i'm entitled" attitude - they can start paying for everything themselves and let life kick their teeth in for a bit, and maybe they'll appreciate what they had when they were living with us... the problem is parents today are giving their kids everything on a silver platter with no consequences and a lot of them walk around like they own the world with their little iPods and cellphones - I just laugh because they don't have a clue and there so much left to go! :disgust |
well i aint that lazy haha..... i make enough online every month to live on my own, i buy all my own food 100% of the time, pay digital cable, internet, my phone, and of course my jeep payments and insurance which is a bitch here in FL lol
i do have ipods and a cellphone though :eek2 |
I was 19 exactly
|
19....even tho i was broke....it was totally worth it tho and it all worked out :)
