Have you ever sold anything on CraigsList before?

Is it worth putting up a car for sale there or just waste of time reading Nigerian scam letters?

I put a lot of stuff on there and bought a lot. With buying a car invest in carfax and check the history.
Selling is relatively easy.be sure to include pix as people will ignore the ad if they can't see it for some reason

I've sold all sorts of shit. We had a truck in our garage that I figured I'd get a few hundred bucks for just to get rid of it. Listed it as best offer and someone offered me $1800 for it.

Much better results than I had expected.

i bought and sold 3-4 cars on craigslist. get a LOT of bullshit and looky loos, so make it hard for the idiots to come see you. also if they flake once, they will flake again so stop responding to them etc etc. use common sense.

Takes whole 5 minutes to post it, might as well try it and see what happens... but you will probably get is ton of idiots offering you $5k for a $10k car... and maybe 1 or 2 semi-serious offers for $8k...

Yeah, things sell pretty easy on Craigslist. Just make sure to add pics if you are selling your car.

I tried selling a perfectly good motherboard and cpu combo, and I even threw in 2GB of ram.

All I got was inquiries and a couple of fruitcakes that wanted shave 50 bucks off. The one nutjob that I was about to sell it to, turned the transaction into a convoluted nightmare, with me having to deduct and add charges and all this bullshit. I told him to fuck off, and the stuff is still sitting in my closet.

I put up this ad:

1 Refrigerator small for apartment over/under.
1 Washer/Dryer set. Made in 80's still works.
1 Microwave. Small. Apartment sized.

The refrigerator needed freon...

A guy came and picked all of the items up in about 40 minutes from the time I hit submit.

Paid $120 for all of the items.

My friends were moving and were going to drop everything off at the dump for $50 dumping fee figuring no one would want any of that stuff.

I've never sold a car or anything big... Mostly smaller stuff that I just needed to off load. More or less I just got people to pay me to haul my shit away.

I clear my studio furniture out every year - out of the 6 visitors this last sale, everyone paid full asking price. Zero hassles so far.
