Just in the past 2 years alone, 3 letter domains have jumped up in price quite nicely.

65K can do alot of things, including making more money than that domains cost over 5 years if not longer. Unless of course it's just a speculative buy to sell at a higher price. Which I guess is viable.

This type of thing has happened again and again throughout history. You see domains go up in value for 10 - 20 years and you just assume that there will always be somebody there to pay more down the road. Doesn't work like that, never has.
