I set up a mainstream site & forum years ago to sell ad space to local businesses, and put a bunch of useful links on the main page, like today's weather, local paper's sites, lotto numbers, etc.

That's my start page.

Ditto. "blank" is what mine is set to as well. That way multiple browser sessions (Ctrl-N) upon startup open faster, since they don't have to load anything.

I used to have my own page which tracked my RSS feeds, my sites, traffic, and would poll the most common 404s that I saw.

Now, it's just Google. I'm much better now.
