Just put them in a washing machine...
I've been thinking about ordering them too.

That guy is actually an actor named Vince Offer, who created "The Underground Comedy Movie", and sued Scientology. I don't know if I respect the guy more, or less after discovering that.
Stevenson noted that Offer's "hectoring tone... makes us feel like idiots for even entertaining the notion of not buying a Shamwow." Offer even berates his own crew with "You followin' me, camera guy?" At one point in the ad, Offer makes the dubious claim "You're gonna spend $20 every month on paper towels, anyway" and "seems truly dumbfounded that anyone might fail to see the wisdom of dropping 28 bucks (including shipping) on a set of rags.
Many buyers complained about the product. Saying that it does not soak up water as well as paper towels, only pushes water around, and sheds its orange fabric, earning it the nickname "Scamwow!". Other buyers have claimed success in the product, with following proper directions. (Wet first then use, do not use fabric softner in wash etc.) Consumers still have claimed problems with Shamwow! even if they follow directions.
This product (under a diff name) has been around for at least 20 yrs that I know of..it used to be marketed at flea markets and swap meets, they would do a presentation much like the TV commercial, draw in the crowds using a PA system and next thing you know 20 peeps are walking away with bundles of them at about $10 a pop...I did buy one myself and it seemed to work fine.
I saw a presentation for those things at a department store a little while ago... it really did work as well as they say. I was quite impressed.
The commercials make it look good, but did the onsite presentation look as good or not? Very curious to see if it actually works from people that bought it as those infomercial products are usually junk.

I don't trust any commercial where the guy says to call and order now for the special deal "cause they can't offer it all day" - then runs that same commercial with the same deal for the last 5 months..
