upload/download script
I need a script which will make uploads/downloads automatically in a given time.
The script will ftp the x site to download 15 html files and then ftp the y site and upload those 15 htmls. Do you know any? |

Someone on here clued me into this a couple months ago and works like a dream.
There are two unix commands you can just slap on a cron. ncftpget and ncftpput Check the man pages for syntax and all that good shit. |

I agree with Labret, as an alternative if you're feeling the urge to program, Net::FTP in perl works very nicely for stuff like this. Although in the best case if you had shell access, it would be quickest/easiest to log into machine y, and download directly from machine x. (maybe using wget, or ncftpget/put)
If it's the same files all the time, just throw it in cron on machine y. If they're windows hosts though, it might be a whole other headache ![]() |

A simple script will acomplish this, I can set things up for you for a very reasonable price. ICQ me (33375924) if you are interested.
