How is the content priced... for example if I have a hundred pictures and I wanted to sell the non exclusive rights to them what would be the going rate?

Thanks,
You are still leaving too much up in the air toots.
Are these single license, or resell rights? How many copies are sold, or going to be.
There are a lot of factors that go into pricing content. But if you are to sell anything exclusive, or semi. Be prepared to hold out for 3-6 months. Only a dozen companies really have any money, or interest in buying content.
Non-exclusive and resale rights are the top of their menu.

Are they solo, softcore, hardcore, fetish, niche, microniche repetitive flip book style, glamour, amateur, average looking, very attractive, blah blah.
Will you release all 2257, do you understand 2257?
Sadly he didn't notice them until I went back to discuss his findings and he says oh Gheeze how did I miss those? I wanted to beat him with a chair......

Restrictions on usage?
Explain it to the OP ace.
I understand my content, niche, 2257, and we limit usage in our licenses. Including marketing, clips, TGP's, affiliates, resale, and tube sites.
I do not have the confusion chief. We explain it all in detail, and both parties must agree to terms and sign before transfer of any content.

typical exclusive here in the states is $1000 to $2500 for B/G exclusive shoot with 1 hour of video and a couple sets of pics, all depends on what the girl has to do, who the girl is and of course who the producer is.
Non-exclusive is anyones guess, if they are desperate (kandah) you can get crap for $50 for 1000's of pics and 50 gigs of video.. DVD content is usually $50 to $300 per DVD depending on the dvd.

actually, wouldnt the quality of the content and quality of the model be the first thing that should determine the cost or starting point of the sale?
So for 1000 pictures $25 - $100 for non exclusive content is approx the industry rates?
When you buy content does that mean you have resale rights automatically?
Thanks,
No and No.
Also unless you are a fairly known or respected photographer, you will not be making much just selling photo's without video to go with it.
If you want sheer honesty then odds are 1000 pictures assuming they are all very different yet of same subject, have been edited, amateur based, amateur shooter, amateur style, softcore, non exclusive, non limited release, with no resell use, then maybe 10.00 to 20.00 give or take 50%

Not necessarily.
If it's a micro niche, and there is little competition for example, then they could be very amateurish, and be pure gold. Same for many other content.
You have, in quality, the big budget studios who crank out HD type material with make up, top girls, and the whole shabang.... then you have smaller niche and mom n pops.
For those, quality could be secondary to niche. It can't be complete shit, shot in the middle of the night with no decent lights, but WHAT the niche is can trump the HD/quality.
Again, simply way too much for me to type out. I'll simply say that if you are looking for the traditional mainstream markets... hardcore, lesbian, teen, then yes... quality is key.
If you were looking in more profitable, less competition, micro niches. Then you may look for less over produced material, HD, and more nichey. Sometimes the more amateurish the better... again.. depending on the market.
For niches.. even if NOT HD or over produced like mainstream porn.. micro niches are going to be more expensive because there is less of it, and high demand. Plus loyal fan bases, and tend to have high conversion ratios.
