New Rap Music !!! -->> The Future's Written !!!

So about 3 years ago I met this guy at a party at NC State college.... I was looking at my server tonight downloading all my important stuff to back-up on a new 500 gig drive I bought.. And came across the music he gave to me years ago, he wanted me to manage him lol ..

I watched him and his friends record these songs in the middle of his little tiny kitchen with a crappy ass laptop .... His name is the Future, his site will be The Future's Written !!! He said to me " You can't Hide From The Future, And The Present Is Nothing Without The Future"

Listen to these songs and tell me what ya think ??? I love track 1,11 and 18.. I want to get him in a real recording studio cause his fades could use work.. Give me your honest opinion please.. I think he has some great written music, just needs some help with recording it all... Could this guy make money in the rap bizz ???

It seems anyone can make money these days..

Listening to what you posted I don't understand how he could make money unless he was really well connected and someone was doing him favours..

But i'm not going to say he can't because someone will just say Blah blah blah he can....

I hear a lot of amatuer stuff on the net I am into hiphop/rap production/dj forums..
I hear a lot of stuff that sounds a hell of a lot better and is not making any coin..

Well this guy is broke lol .. I gave him 50 bucks for some weed and I still have not got my money back 3 years later lol ... he still calls and says "Manager Sarah, what do we have" lol

Is he black? good looking?

If he can get hooked up with a decent producer his rhymes and voice will sound a lot better..

There's forums for this just like adult... beat making, production, etc..

Producers are like webmasters/graphic designers these days a dime a dozen...

remember there's 40000000 other people trying to be a star..

You can manage or promote a person like him and get him low key gigs etc... but it'll be work... He should get together with a group of some sort.. a dj, producer, another artist, etc..

if he's a rapper he's already thought of all this 10x already...

He needs a producer more than a manager. Believe it or not, rap is becoming a lot like country from an industry standpoint. The producers make all the music and just plug in the artists as needed.

But with some decent production values it would sound pretty good. With a good producer, track 16 wouldn't be all that bad.

Sounds like the same old n-i-g-g-e-r crap I wish would die already. Hell even disco only lasted 6 years. Rap/Hip hop pretty much killed off good black music and music in general.

Yea he needs to get his stuff recorded professionally.. It was just crazy he did the beats and all himself in the kitchen..

what do you mean he did the beats and all himself? i just listened to a few and it sounded like he just recorded his vocals over someone elses beats that he downloaded.

what i like to add is that this ofcourse aint stopping anyone from breaking through commercially, i mean listen to soulja boys lyrics lol... at least this guy is better than him ;)
