Hamburger helper is GROSS

Oh man.

I was feeling lazy tonight and had a pound of Hamburger meat in the fridge. I decided to dust off that old box of hamburger helper Lasagna in my pantry and cook it up.

I am seriously regretting it!

First sign this was a mistake: It looks like runny shit with noodles.

I decided to move past that and give it a shot anyway. I ate it in college, why not now?

Fast forward to 30 minutes ago, about 15 minutes after eating this disgusting meal.
My ass has been spewing almost non-stop. I'm sure to have lost 4-5lbs, You know.. about 13 flushes worth. The T.P couldn't handle it, so I had to rinse off in the shower.

Is this a normal reaction to HH?

uh oh.. here it goes again....

Now I remember why I've had the same box of Hamburger Helper in my pantry for the last 2 years.

I usually cook my food from scratch. I don't do boxed dinners. I'm a good cook who is now paying for being lazy! The meat was good, I am sure of it. I bought it yesterday

So did I! I used to love this stuff. I was a military brat, we ate this all the time, along with generic macaroni, grilled cheese and campbells tomato soup! lol

Ew! Sounds like bad meat, I'd have to agree with the others. I mean, HH isn't *good* food by any stretch of the imagination, but unless you're having a reaction to the MSG in it, I don't know why you'd be sharting

I can't imagine it causing that much agony. Something must of been bad, either the box or the meat.

It's probably best you're shitting everywhere now. Those ones that take about a day to hit you usually turn into full blown food poisoning. When it hits you instantly it usually only lasts a few hours. Sure does suck though.

My mom use to make that shit 3 times a week when I was a kid. Guess that is why I got food poisoning 4 times.

Even walking by HH in Safeway makes me want to hurl.

I've had e.coli before and regular food poisening. This is nothing like it. no gut-wrenching pains... No vomiting.

Perhaps because I didn't drain the meat? But it was 93% lean SIRLOIN.. the good stuff to make GREAT hamburgers. I bought it the day before... I was going Gourmet Hamburger Helper! lol

The bathroom runs have subsided.. no pissing from my ass anymore... I've popped off a few wet farts, but nothing to be ashamed of.

I do believe I will stay away from anything ending in "Helper" from now on. I'm very happy to make my food from scratch. I can cook quite well.

Check out www.sharky.com for proof;-)

OMG my parents used to make me liver all the time! they said it was good for me! I used to chew and chew and then spit it out in my milk so they thought I ate it.

LATER my dad confessed that he hated the stuff but he fed it to me because his parents did it to him, so it must be the right thing to do! ARRRRG!

wierd... the lasagna is the only HH that I don't mind eating. Mind you I do use extra lean hamburger meat and sprinkle liberally with Parmesian (sp?) cheese.

There's a chicken helper that I dig... something oriental (maybe fried rice is the name). Other than those two I think the remaining helpers are shit.

Just say no to liver... it's evil

Why feed it to you when he hated it just because it was fed to him? Where is the logic in that?

I used fresh grated parmesan as well (I did say I was trying to be gourmet;-) )

I've had the fried rice.. decent, but nothing like the Garlic Fried Rice Jenni Dahling taught me how to make.. YUM!
