Just the sign of the times.. I would suspect there will be very few printed magazines 10 years from now.

I am simply amazed that there are still hundreds of new magazines coming out every year...

No idea munki, personally I love print mags. I subscribe to I think about 15 still. (industry mags excluded). I can not think of any that I started reading the online version of either. When some have vanished I just never bothered.

I'm with you... outside industry... I can't imagine sitting down with my Reader's Digest online and finding it half as relaxing.

You know, I'm pretty broken up about it. Though, Playgirl wasn't hardcore enough to satiate my desire for man-on-man action.

I am surprised. There are still a lot of profitable print magazines, although the market is indeed tougher than ever before . Playboy should at the very least be able to make their money back on printing magazines even in this day and age, especially if they cut back on the wasted issues. Let's face it- for Playboy to fold the print mag is a huge blow to their image in the general public that still reads it and the potential Playmates which may not look at it with such respect like models used to for a few generations now. Playboy should have continued it even if they cut the print run down. I think that this is a foolish move on their part.
