    Why is it that NORTH AMERICANS are better then EUROPEANS?

    I mean when you think about it north america was basically settled by europeans (indians dont count).

    so why is it that we are so much better then euros?

    all euros do is sit and around cry all day and expect other people to handle their business. Is this why most of europe is turning into a crap farm?

    i think the main reason i have discovered is that the smart euros realized europe was turning into a piece of shit so they came over to north america leaving the mostly inbred, ugly and stupid euros behind to fend for themselves.

    this to me explains alot of you euros on GFY. you are mostly ugly, stupid and also extremely annoying like an ADD kid after a jug of koolaid.

    this to me is the reason why canada and the usa (forget mexico) are such a young nation and are so much better then all of europe combined.

    so is my thinking off? explain to me please, why is north america so much better then europe?

      without me getting caught up in a shitstorm I will try and reply...

      I think Euros have a much more relaxed way of going about life than us North Americans. From my travels in Europe I have gotten the sense that people are more laid back, don't stress about the little shit and overall are generally more happy. Thats just me though....

      PS. My travals have included Holland, France and Greece. I know it's only 3 countries but Greece especially had a huge mix because it was during the vacation season.

When I switched to a US company I got excellent support, much better prices and I´m not forced in a long time contract. So I have to agree that there are advantages.

                                                                              Sounds like you and I have seen some of the same country. I traveled all over Europe and found them to be very friendly, easy going people. I tried to stay, but the military said I had to go home and could return after I processed out...LOL
                                                                              I do plan on returning with my wife so she can see how beautiful Europe is.

                                                                              And to think I was trying to save them some money by not sending me home....sigh

                                                                                          As someone who grew up in Germany and has been living in the US for ten years I think a "better than x" comparison is totally pointless.
                                                                                          I personally prefer the US to living in Europe but that's preference.

                                                                                          There are great things and not so great things about everything, including Europe vs. USA.

                                                                                          Frankly I'm perplexed seeing a thread like this because in this day and age one would think any intelligent person realizes that there are upsides and downsides to everything, and one simply cannot say one country/continent is better than the other.

                                                                                          Also, Europe is comprised of many different countries, each with their own traditions, quirks, policies, and attitudes.

                                                                                          Saying "Europe is this and that" or "Americans are this and that" is way too generalized to have any merit IMHO.

                                                                                                                                                                          Look at the US economy prior to 1914 and then again in 1939, then again 1960, 1980 and 2000. Look at how it changed from a largely rural to an industrial economy. Then look at why and who paid for it.

                                                                                                                                                                          Two World Wars largely made the US what it was. A world leader.

                                                                                                                                                                          Now look at the US economy 2008 and see if you see a trend.

                                                                                                                                                                          The US will always be a major power, it produces a lot of food, energy natural resources. The problem will be if it can produce enough to stay on top.

                                                                                                                                                                          Europe will always be different nations. Well for our life times.

The most dangerous locations have 2-3x lower murder rates than the safest in the US, for example. Thats the biggest difference, I think, other than that, life quality is pretty much the same.

He was not going to London because of the IRA terrorist attacks. He lived in LA in the valley. I told him he would be safer in Belfast on Orange Day. Than there.
