I just moved a bunch of domains off a moniker parked page and am making $150 a month off type-ins... Kind of bugs me considering how long it's taken me to change the pages. And before the domains were with godaddy and they did the same shit.

I think it's kind of bullshit, but from what i understand it's industry standard.

Webair is smart for doing that. If I had a host any name that hit my name servers would have a parked page making PPC..

Maybe they can offer lower hosting priced cause they monitize that traffic that would have been 100% wasted if they did not add that.

He should not have to spend 30 seconds fucking with it when he already paid is hard earned cash to fucking host there... thats just bullshit in so many ways!!!!

BUT it is "HIS TRAFFIC" not Webairs that they are monitizing off... how hard is that to understand?????

Every fucking time I buy a new car that put that sticker that says Bill Buck Chevy on it. I am going down there tomorrow and returning my car so I can buy a new Chevy some place that does not do this shady shit. I mean someone could see that and then want to buy a car from there and not spend the money looking at everything I promote with my bumper stickers. I have not had a join yet with my adult friend finder bumper sticker but they told me although I could not see the hits that they were being counted anyway. These huge companies are always trying to bring me down

Maybe if we all bitch webair will not only stop adding their pages but they will add my sites and build them too. Maybe then I will consider signing up. The sites have to be really good ones so none of this cheap site. Non-exclusive content is ok as long as they keep it under 20% and don't even think about adding xsales. I saw a thread and it looks kinda bad to me and since webair is making the sites I really do not need to try that for extra money yet, go WEBAIR!!!!!!!!!!

I just have to hope they type it all in. would that work or should I be giving them free cookies as well. I have tried it before but when they have the windows up going 80 it is pretty hard to get that cookie in the car or to stick for that matter.

I am with you!!!! I went through the same shit with them. Thank God I moved!! It is not about how long it takes to fix or how long it takes to submit a fucking ticket. It is about that they have the balls to try to make money on a server that you are paying for. If they were the last hosting company on the planet, I would rather take a job shoveling shit all day than stay in this biz and put up with their fucking bullshit. When I was with them they left my content out in the open with no protection from proxy pass or anything!!! It was not offered or discussed. When they tried to hit me with a $10,000 bill I went fucking ape shit. It got corrected, but no one should have to deal with the shit that they dish out!!!

They are not the only host that does that. I host with multiple companies and webair is not the only one. You have to update the index anyway, but it sort of bugged me when they started it too.

However, if I was them I'd grab the loose change clicks too, it probably adds up.

This thread is layed out very poorly.

It should have been: "Discuss the webair domain adding index.html" or someting in that direction. That way you would actually have gotten a discussion. Personally I dont give a flying fuck but i can see why it's not 100% correct of webair to try and profit on your domains in the time from adding until uploading content.

all is solved for now and in the future I will not add the domains through the panel but will e-mail them and Webair will add them for me.

You should be happy they didn't just tell you to go fuck off. Even sorry there were better ways for me to handle this. I use to be like that and I have learned, I have so much extra time now and can use it for my bumper sticker idea that I mentioned above. I have some extra cookies if anyone wants to buy some also
