Yet he didn't take one of the mature turtles with him, which was, perhaps, the best example of evolution on the island.

did you see that documentary too?

it was interesting how much higher the tortoises shells rose and how much longer their necks were on the one island where all the vegetation they ate was up higher

and a few miles away where the island had no trees their necks and shells were shaped different

mother nature is amazing

I personally believe...It's a hippopotamus.

shekinah 07-31-2008 08:43 PM

Was that creature for real??

Iron Fist 07-31-2008 08:50 PM

I can't believe I saw this news article on CNN this afternoon...

Angry Jew Cat - Banned for Life 07-31-2008 08:51 PM

it sure as fuck is not a dog carcass, i can tell you that much...

it's most definitely a turtle's head.

if it turns out to be real, i'm still standing by teenage mutant ninja turtle, till the death of me, but i too am starting to lean towards photoshop....

Dirty F 08-01-2008 07:42 AM

On the new pic it looks different and i take my words back. If i saw that side only i wouldnt think its a turtle. So right now i have no clue like everyone else.

Tanker 08-01-2008 07:44 AM

I like the hell boys dog theory.

It does have some form of hog look to it maybe it is from a secret lab or possibly from melted polar ice caps and its an old species that didn't make it to modern day.

VeriSexy 08-01-2008 08:37 AM

Must be some sort of mutation

2MuchMark 08-01-2008 08:55 AM

It's a dog people, geeze...

It's not a sea creature. It has no gils or fins and its feet look too small to propel it in water at any decent speed. Poor rover.

Dirty F 08-01-2008 08:56 AM

The second pic clearly shows hair.

Ya seriously. Not much of a mystery. Either born without a shell, or it was cracked away or something.

The front elbows for the turtle go in the opposite direction of this thing.

CyberHustler 08-01-2008 03:52 PM

Well the second pick definitely looks like a dog...

But, it's amazing how much later that picture shows up and looks less decomposed... not to mention almost completely different.

Now I think it's a weather balloon shaped like a dog mixed with swamp gas...
