The Strangers = worst movie of 2008

I just seen it on it's opening day last night, got the VIP recliners, lots of food, drink and popcorn, and watched with my gf and friends.

It was the worst movie of 2008 by FAR!

Anyone else see it? opinions please!

The movie makes absolutely NO sense. You are made to believe it'll all come to sense at the end, but then, BAM!!!! the movie just ends!!!! It actually made me angry for the rest of the night last night

I was in same boat as you, I actually thought of a way to get my money back, but I'd rather try through the actual movie company, it's not the movie theatre's fault imho

I really liked The Strangers. Slow but very good I thought. better than Ironman. I thought Ironman sucked.

If you realized that it makes no sense at the end, then you got the point. You're just so hung up on expecting one thing --- but you got another.

The same thing happened to me when I saw it. SPOILERS BELOW


I really wanted to see these 2 people get back at the intruders somehow. Of course they were too fucking stupid, but that's beside the point. At the end, it could have went that way -- with the heroes finding a way to turn the tables on them, but would that really be satisfying? Haven't you seen that before? The movie is basically saying is that people are fucked up, life is unfair and our destinies are random. I didn't like the ending too much, but I appreciate the fact that:

a. They did something totally unexpected and just plain fucking cold.

b. They gave me some pretty suspenseful and creepy moments along the way.
