Yes there are bills resulting from the accident, getting the car towed off from the motor way is the first one. Hospitals are paid out of taxes here so that's fine. I will see the accountant today and get the situation on paying the bills. It was Eva's job and I don't know what has to be done on this side.

Paul am wishing Eva a full and speedy recovery.
At this point try to get yourself busy as much as possible.
From what I heard so far she seems to be in really good hands. You need to be aware that the recovery will indeed be a lenghty one - for broken vertebra you can expect a full year or so. Time is the biggest healing factor so you have to stay patient and positive.
IF they allow you to visit while she is in a coma talk to her. Even tho she is not replying some people believe that people in coma can sometimes hear things. Talk about nice reassuring things , what happened in office, how is the weather, maybe about some nice vacation etc. This will do good for both you and her.

Yes I'm buckling down to working today and going through all the paperwork now. Off to the accountant soon to sort out the bills and money.
Yes I was talking to her and it was funny to see the monitors and watch her vital signs rise as I did. Coincidence or something is getting through. She had a CT scan yesterday of her brain and it was normal apart from swelling.
Thanks for the suggestions, I did run out of things to say. Was weird talking to Eva and not having her interrupt and take over the conversation. LOL
Got to go do some work.
But before I do I need to thank Bailey of Sapphic Erotica and his lovely wife. When I phoned them from the hospital they drove over and sat with me. Then let me stay with them over night. Plus phoning the hospital asking about updates. I needed a friend and they the best. Thanks guys, owe you a BBQ.

Thanks guys. I am being very positive and maybe you can help. I have some good news.
Saw Eva today about midday, I was advised by the accountant I need to get a letter and from the doctor to get power of attorney moved to me.
So at the hospital the doctor was having lunch and I saw Eva. As I started to speak to her she tried to get up and opened her eyes. This freaked me out as none of the nurses knew I had not been told they are slowly taking her off the sedatives. She's 80% sedated and if all goes well she will be less tomorrow.
She kept trying to get up, open her eyes and moved her arm a little. I then saw she was crying and the nurse said she knows I'm there and I should keep talking and tell her to relax. Tough to talk as you cry with relief and joy.
The doctor came in, read Eva the riot act about staying down and then told me that she's not "Out of the woods yet" and the next 5 days, Thursday to Saturday, are critical for a relapse and infection but they feel she is improving better than average. So I feel a lot better today and even had a decent meal tonight.

I have a lookalike lose to work away, my partner died 4 months ago.
She was young and full with life, and in the hospital she died, her heart stopped
