    Calling Germany from Germany

    Alright, I am in Germany trying to call my buddy from a landline phone and it isn't working.

    How do I call locally from a German landline to a cell phone?

    For example, if the number that I call from the States is 011-49-177-000-0000, what numbers would I eliminate/switch around to call?

          Don't listen to BD.

          Are you in the same city? If so remove everything but the last 7. Go up from there ie if in different city use city code (below)

          49 = country code
          177 = city code
          000-0000 = Phone Number
