PayPal MC email today

Did anyone else get this email from PayPal to register for the Visa/MC charges?

Dear Merchant -

As PayPal continues to implement the Visa and MasterCard regulations of which you were informed last week, we want to provide you with the remaining information necessary to become compliant. In this email, you will find:

a) Information requirements for the Merchant Registration Form

b) Process for paying the registration fees

c) Policy & procedure if you decide you are unable or unwilling to comply with the Visa and MasterCard regulations

They gave us less time than Epoch/CCbill/Ibill. Why do these Companies treat us (their customers) like an after thought

They give you the option of opting out of being a high risk. If you use the account for porn only ... opt out, wait a few weeks then put it back up again till they close your account...

here is a good point both visa and MC seem to be giving it to the adult webmasters that have an adoult website... ok great they say high risk because it is video or photos you can download...
right.. but if you sell tangable items you are not affectted? right

so why not sell a autographed photo of someone, a calandar, a sock .. these are tangable items so.. you buy a sock for 19.95 and as a bonus you get a free membership....

just an ideal
