          I've played and loved Madden since the first game on Sega. That last game (2008) had to have been the worst one out of the bunch. There was no real skill in it because of all the glitches people exploited online. Hopefully they spent more time on it, rather than sitting on their hands because of their exclusive NFL license.

                  i agree the xbox 360 '08 i didn't like that much, in fact i thought it sucked. but the ps2 madden '08 was good as usual.

                      I'll be getting it It's just too bad that they had to put Sega out of the football market because I always thought their 2K series kicked Madden's ass.

                      Anyways, if you can't wait to play some football, the EA Sports NCAA College Football 09 came out today ! I have to get out and pick it up.

                                                              Yup. The 2k series was on the verge of wiping out Madden. EA lucked with the liscense deal. Sucks.

                                                                                                                      As far as I'm aware, there have NEVER been any XBL bannings because of people using modded 360. Yes, this was the case with the old XBox...but not with the 360. Anyone banned for using a modded box was using it to cheat at the online games, and that's why they were banned.

                                                                                                                                          I've always taken a crack at each version, and I usually hate it. I can honestly say that playing real football is easier.

                                                                                                                                          It just feels like everything moves too fast. I wish there was an option to slow the game down by percentages.

                                                                                                                                              that is very untrue. there was LOTS of banning of modded consoles. However, none recently with the "stealth" mods when done properly.

Some of the boxes I did with original flash firmware updates are still up and running and playing MANY MANY MANY games of COD4. I can't say that there weren't people who managed to get banned. It just isn't widespread or even something to worry about. No one I know with a modded box has had issues. Red ring issues...that's another story.

                                                                                                                                                                      2k, 2k1 and 2k2 back in the dreamcast absolutely kicked maddens ass. 03/04 it was a tossup and from there they went their own directions. I thought madden improved while 2k went downhill. There were certain things 2k did well but I went back to madden. 2k1 for the most part was farbetter than madden BUT everything was centered around a QB that could roll out. MANY madden games have centered around this and the college football games have too.
