How to best update a large blog network?

my blog network is reaching 100 blogs. I try to update 20 a day with 300 words of unique text. I'm wondering whether it would be more effective if I did 40 updates a day with 100-200 word posts? anyone care to weigh in on this?

Personally, I've found you only really need to update your blogs once a week. Anymore you're just wasting your time imho.

1 new entry a week per blog.

try to write 20-30 posts daily for about 5-10 diff blogs. each blog will have 4-6 weeks worth of entries. do this 3-5/days a week.

I'm confused, can you please clarify what you mean?

You say 1 new entry a week per blog but write 20-30 posts daily for 5-10 blogs?

too much updating might bring more scrutiny as to being a splog or automated site of some sort, although completely original content should make it ok

Is that so?

Personaly I have found that updating my blogs with 2-3 original posts per day is worth it.

I guess it depends on what kind of blog network you want to have. When you have 100 it's hard to update them 2-3 times aday lol

Wow, I think about once a week per blog should be enough! A nice well thought out entry once per week is usually enough, or maybe twice a week if you have a good following.

Fresh content is the only part of the key... are you copyrighting your articles to get picked up by the search engines or are you doing such just for non seo reasons... I'm guessing your managing your 100 Blogs mainly for traffic right?

In short Google and the other search engines needs some time to index a website being static or dynamic in nature; writing on subjects for the search engines require some careful consideration to show within the first two pages of Google... When you copyright your online articles you are going in greater detail about a subject which you are promoting... copyrighting is a little different from Search Engine Optimization in that the actual articles that are copyrighted are written to sell products and or services whereas SEO is what you do with your articles to get picked up with the search engines and to keep a decent position within their ranks.

Yea... but you need some static text within your Blog for both issues of copyrighting and SEO. Its very important to have 3 - 4 paragraphs of static text describing your products and or services and you need to work in your keywords... Its important that you check the keywords that you are thinking about using... because you might find that the terms you pick may have very little search volume... keyword density and sub domains with keywords will help for you to get high ranking within Google and the other search engines.

I am setting up a domain at the current time and I would like to know if you would have interest in a pop under traffic trade using a java script. I will be using sub domains and all will be copyrighted and SEOed and I will have a fair amount of traffic. Every person will see my pop unders when they come to my site. I will have many sub domains using this pop under script. The traffic I will have will be 100% SEO high quality traffic, however, fresh traffic from your sites would be great. If you would like to trade traffic via this method please let me know...

I am somewhat busy setting up my site, however, if you agree to trade pop under traffic with me I will review your sites and give valuable technical information and walk you through this issue for free.

Feel free to ICQ me if you would like to chat privately.

Let me know what you think,

exactly. twice maybe at times. Once your site though has plenty of posts in it that will be enough.

That still depends what you want to accomplish. A blog updated 2-3 times per day with original text is going to grow much faster, at the same time you can ofcourse have 20 blogs updating once a week instead. The $ decides in the end.

I disagree. We've been running some tests on a handful of blogs on our rapidly growing blog network..... I picked two blogs and tried updating them five times a day with hand written blog entries. That was last month, it's now July 11th, and traffic to those blogs have tripled. (I'm now updating these blogs once a day and it seems like the traffic increase remains.)

This month I've picked a single blog, one that isn't doing too well, and I'm updating it ten times a day.... Can't wait to see what happens this time next month.

What I meant was If you can write 20-30 new posts a day (for 4-6 diff blogs), you can have a network of 100 blogs updated quite frequently, if you space out the dates per entry for 1 week intervals.

100 different blogs.
you write 20-30 new entries a day, for multiple niches/blogs.
thats 4-6 weeks worth of content for 5 blogs written in 1 day.
do that 5 days a week, 4 weeks a month. thats 100 blogs.
after you have all 100 blogs with content and updates for several weeks, you work on building linkbacks =)

I pretty much do that already except I don't see the point of banging out a months worth of updates and then work on backlinks. I update 20 a day and work on backlinks at the same time.

I see blogs that have like 2 sentences of text in every update and i'm trying to find the difference between them and blogs like mine which have 300 word updates. If 100 words of text would suffice i'd be able to easily manage and update 150+ blogs....
