Setting up webcam studios looking for info on lighting etc.. - GoFuckYourself.com

We are trying to setup a new local webcam studio, and instead of buying cams/lights/computers, we where wondering if anyone could give us info on cheap lighting what exactly to use where to get it etc? same with cams and computers.. any info would help, thanks in advance!

Running a webcam studio is a nightmarish proposition, at least here in the States. Girls just don't want to sit still for that long if they have other options like doing porn scenes fo example. I have a friend who was involved in setting up a studio and he told me a little about the pitfalls involved.

In any case, your best bet for lights is to purchse or make some cheap fluorescent light fixtures with high CRI bulbs in them (like home made Kino Flos) for each station. (Do a search on fluorescent lighting here on GFY or one of the popular diigtal video forums online). For computers you can get little Mac Minis or some inexpensive small form factor pcs. I personally would use a small video camera for the cams rather than an actual webcam so you can tape everything or get some kind of sophisticated setup which auto-records all the deeds digitally. That content is valuable for the archives.
