Any AC Experts Here, Is their exhaust tubeless AC ?

Looking to cool a room where their is no windows and I cant drill a whole in the wall. All the portable AC's I have looked at has a exhaust tube that need to go out side. Do any one make a portable AC that is exhaust tubeless ? or does all AC need access to out side ?

    I'm not 100% sure - but I don't think they're 100% efficient systems..
meaning it's virually impossible to get one that doesn't emit more heat than the cool it creates.... I think they all need hot air exhausts...

yep. doing some reserarch and it looks like the way AC's work you need a went to get the hot air out, the other choice is coolers but they are more like fans

          sorry, but I couldn't resist.

Well, according to the principle of refrigeration and air conditioning, it is not possible to cool a room without having to (kind of) expel the heat outside. so, you wont find anything without a exhaust tube, 99% certain.

How about an air (evaporative) cooler?

If that doesn't fit your need, you will need to make a hole in wall or ceiling.

In a an automobile the refrigeration system is completely sealed and there are no exhaust systems.

It works by pulling the air from the interior through the system ( Condenser, Receiver Dryer) A gas like Freon placed in a sealed system is pressurized using a compressor. As it's pressurized, it gets hot by absorbing the heat around it. This hot gas is then circulated through a series of tubes (Condenser) that dissipate the heat. ( R-12 or R134a) are used as coolant because they are volatile gases that can change state very easily - from Gas to Liquid.

THIS is the exhaust thing. I didn't became this technical because my listener was naive.

you DO need some medium to dissipate (exhaust) heat, outside the box needed to cool.

One of my buddies used tall narrow A/C units all over his loft and they didn't have a tube or anything but a power cord coming off them...

                  So they definitely exist...

Unless he had them hooked up incorrectly??? or it was just blowing the hot air back into the room?? no idea..

                    OMFG!!!

Um, go open your hood... look at your radiator. You'll see something that looks like another, smaller radiator right next to it. Thats the condensor, where all the heat dissapates.

Its the same in a household air conditioner.

Those swamp coolers work but they are just glorified fans.you place ice in a compartment and it helps cool.I have a portable and it has two hoses.cools down to 16c but has to have exhaust from a window.
I say you shit out of luck

anything that creates cold also creates heat. All of the portable type systems simply kick the air out behind it so as long as you stay right in front of the cool part you'll be good but if you're trying to cool an entire room you're out of luck. Running something sealed in a room will actually make it HOTTER than if you weren't doing anything at all (except for a small area in front of the cold air vent)

UMMM How is that an exhaust? The condenser is used to cool the gas - this system is SEALED.. Do you know the meaning of exhaust?

I don't think you want to have this conversation with me
