Here's a funny segment from the Ultimate Fighter, where both Rampage and Griffin are both coaches - and they are fucking with each other.

Same here.. I think it will be a damn good fight though:thumbsup

If you guys don't feel like spending over $40 to get the fights tonight on PayPerView and if you don't feel like going to a bar that has them on either, then you could always watch the live feed online over at ltvn.net. I think they are charging $3, PayPal.

Evil E 07-05-2008 01:07 PM

Looks like a stolen feed Turboface...

I rather watch the event in HD, live than on a small shitty feed on a computer anyways.

I actually like Griffen in this one if he can get rampage on his back. Its not like Forrest hasnt proven his chin or his ability. hes also training with the best. I think this might be a very good fight. Some good match ups on this card as well.

Doctor Dre 07-05-2008 04:39 PM

I predict Rampage to win, and Coté to knock out Almenia in the co-main event.

how else do you explain shogun losing to griffin and not fighting like he ever has...

I understand the skill lvl and endurance and also the fact that shogun wasnt allowed to heel their face or what else hes famous for...

he fought NOTHING Like he usually does and he HASNT been back since...

And then whgen he was submitted you could see in his face and eyes that he regretted even getting in the ring for the lose...

ive never called foul until that fight...

forrest was going down hill... he was losing (in his past fights n such) white neeeded something to bring him back so he looked like a tough fighter... when hes not tough, not compared to who is a real fighters in the octagon... 75% of his weight class could beat his ass...

ive said my piece...

if it were a total fluke that griffin beat Rua... fine... but i dont think it was a "fluke"...

Dude Shogun had a torn ACL just before the fight, he couldn't train for like a year... There were pictures of him beeing very chubby arround the internet.

Often athletes don't ever come back from injuries like that.

The reason why he's not fighting is that he's torn his ACL AGAIN. I doubt we will see anymore of shogun the way he was. Wanderlei talked about him possibly retiring.

Rampage, round 3 (cant decide between TKO or Submission)

I somehow just can't imagine rampage subbing anyone... he's got a great defensive JJ, but I doubt thaT's his gameplan

Turboface 07-05-2008 06:47 PM

pr0 came down for the fight. We're all heading out now to a Buffalo Wild Wings that is having the fight on.

wOOt!

Gonna have to go with Rampage on this one. Here's a tip for you guys at home on your computer right now...download a program called sopcast. You can watch UFC for free by watching the mixed martial arts channel.

Drake 07-05-2008 09:56 PM

Good fight by Griffin. I'm surprised and impressed. It was a battle.

SNRProductions 07-05-2008 10:05 PM

yea I'm surprised too...was a great fight. Wish it didn't go to decision though.

I've gotta say that when these two coaches from the Ultimate Fighter step into the ring on Saturday the 5th, there is going to be a lot of blood on the floor of the Octagon when this one is finished.

My take on the fight is that Griffin is the obvious underdog however he has a decent chance of winning the championship title here. If he can manage to take Rampage down to the mat, he can dominate. However if he can't take Jackson down, 'Run Forrest, Run!' comes to mind - He's going to have stay out of the way of his opponents thunderous blows and his famous match ending power slams into the canvass.

I believe that Forrest Griffin is being underestimated with the odds set for him at +200. If Griffin can do what I outlined above, he's got a shot. It may be a longshot, but this is the UFC and anything can happen...

MY PICK: Griffin

Anyone else win any money?

I also picked the winners on two of the other fights tonight that I bet on.

I won on the main event of course as well as two of the other matches, including the Patrick Cote victory.

Booyah!

:cool-as-a

Marky333 07-05-2008 10:39 PM

really nice fight

HAPPYPEEKERS 07-05-2008 10:44 PM

woohoo great fight!

mynameisjim 07-06-2008 12:39 AM

Good fight! I saw it at a bar and a bunch of people were saying you have to beat the champ to win the belt, as if a decision doesn't count. I don't understand that. Of course, a KO would be best, but a decision win is no less of a win. That's like saying a Super Bowl win doesn't count if it's only by a field goal in the last 3 seconds.

Turboface 07-06-2008 07:57 PM

I gotta give this a bump to gloat over my victories last night. :)

We had a blast at Buffalo Wild Wings - eating wings, drinking beer, and watching Rampage get powned!

My only regret is that I didn't bet more on the fights I picked.

:Oh crap

Stellar 07-06-2008 08:15 PM

That fight was not a good fight..

bignick 07-06-2008 09:13 PM

That fight was awesome. I wasn't expecting Forrest to do that well, and he's the humblest guy about his wins too.

Forrest controlled the octagon the entire time. Rampage only won two of the 5 rounds and could hardly get in close to use his power. It was just a smart gameplan by Forrest, and Rampage fell for it.

And Jim, anyone that says you have to beat a champ to win (and a decision doesnt count) doesnt know shit about MMA.

Looks like Liddell/Forrest might be next... (If Liddel beats Rashad next fight)

Machida will get a shot soon as well

Look out for the next HUGE fight on the 19th coming up too from Affliction...

Fedor (#1 in the world) vs. Tim Sylvia (ex #1 Heavyweight in UFC)
with another bunch of big name fights as well

and UFC gives us Anderson Silva (first fight at 205) vs James Irvin on the same night!!!

This year has been great so far for MMA :)

Mark my words, it might very well be this fight coming up......

Looks like i was close...but it wasn't a knockout.

Everyone can be gotten to :pimp
