    This whole MMA etc. fighting fad?

    Seems to be all over nowadays, when did it start? Is it like the new wrestling or something?

    I actually don't get the fascination behind it, must be an american thing?!

      I think it's more the new boxing than it is the new wrestling. I started paying attention when Spike TV started showing the ultimate fighter in the last few years. In just the last 7-8 months it feels like its blown up a ton.

                              It caught on after Spike TV and UFC had aired the first free fight night with Bonner and Griffen putting on one of the best mma fights in history. by the end of the night so many million tuned in to watch the epic battle. It was the moment MMA would start to blow up.
