What a great thread but the most definate best song award so far goes to ADG for How Soon Is Now, one of my top 10 fave songs of all time without a doubt (plus I aways fancied the bird in the video).

1988 - Pursuit of happiness

Here's a couple early 80's classics. I was still a young tyke when these came out but I can remember trying to rock out with my uncle and his friends to them. For some reason they kept going outside to smoke even though they could smoke in the house :pimp didn't figure that out for a few more years.

My uncle bought a big JVC one and then everyone just hung out in the backyard as there was no need to be tethered to the record player for tunes. Oh how the times have a changed.

Have any of you guys seen the new lead singer to Journey? He's filipino and eerily similar to a young Steve Perry.

Great song, but it's called "OH what a feeling", not "more than a feeling" (which was by Boston) and it's from 1971 so it's wayy out of the 80's.


But I found you a live version from a bar gig they once did...
